Miller excels at District Fair

The Rector Cougar 4-H Club is beaming with pride as one of their own, Alaina Miller, represented the club with exceptional talent at the District Fair held this past week in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Alaina entered her artwork that had previously earned the coveted Best of Show award at the Clay County Fair, and once again her creativity and dedication were recognized when she received a 1st place ribbon at the district level.

Art show planned in Rector Oct. 5

On Sunday afternoon, Oct. 5, from 2 to 4 p.m., supporters of the arts in the area may drop in at The Noles Social for a chance to view art from local artists. Sponsored by Rector Chamber of Commerce and with refreshments catered by Caffeinated Cow and Big Time Pizza and Bakery, nine locals who ooze creativity will have their work on display.

Fall city wide yard sale set Oct. 4 in Piggott

Piggott is gearing up for its annual fall city wide yard sale set for Saturday, Oct. 4. The Piggott Area Chamber of Commerce reminds local residents sales held that day will not be required to purchase a permit from the city. Locations will also be featured on a list, which will be available from the Chamber of Commerce.
